This course prepares ESOL speakers for life and work in the UK. Learners will gain English and Maths qualifications which are recognised by employers

This includes learning essential Maths-related vocabulary necessary for talking about time, measurements, weather and data.

Improving communication skills
The ESOL class studies alongside the English class for native speakers, so they experience interactions in real English as often as possible and have the opportunity in class to exchange with native English speakers. This consolidates their skills and encourages integration.

Preparing for Work
ESOL learners will learn how to sell their skills to employers. They will learn about the job market in the local area, to find key information in job adverts, write an effective job application and talk about their relevant skills and experience.

In partnership with Barclays Bank we offer a practice job interview. Learners research a role in class, prepare an application for that specific role, are coached for interview then are given feedback on their performance.
